By accessing Prayla, you agree to these Terms of Use. Prayla is an environment for individuals aged 13 and older. If we determine that a user is under the age of 13, we will terminate the account and delete all associated data immediately. This is a platform for emotional and spiritual support.

Prayla provides a digital space for sharing intentions and receiving community support. We are a facilitator of human connection, not a medical, mental health, or crisis intervention service. If you are experiencing a clinical emergency or a life-threatening crisis, please contact professional emergency services immediately.

You retain ownership of the content you post. However, to enable our global features, you grant Prayla a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and translate your content. You explicitly acknowledge that your intentions and comments are shared with Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems for real-time translation into all supported languages and for automated moderation to ensure community safety. You also acknowledge that the AI Catholic Chat feature sends your chat messages to a third-party AI service to generate responses. AI Chat is a spiritual companion tool rooted in Catholic teaching — it is not a substitute for professional spiritual direction, counseling, or the Sacraments. Direct messages you send to other users are also your content. Unlike intentions and comments, the content of your direct messages is not published, displayed publicly, or sent to AI systems for translation or moderation, and the license above does not apply to your private direct messages.

Prayla is a community platform. You agree that your intentions and pseudonymous profile data may be visible outside the mobile application, including on our public web directory (for SEO purposes), marketing materials, or social media, to help grow the global movement and connect more souls in need of support. Private direct messages are not part of this public visibility — they are shared only between you and the recipient.

To preserve the sanctity of the community, we have a zero-tolerance policy for the following conduct: (a) HARASSMENT & HATE SPEECH: Any content that promotes violence, incites hatred, or targets individuals based on race, religion, gender, or orientation; (b) DISRUPTION OF PEACE: Aggressive religious proselytizing, debating, or attacking the beliefs of others; (c) INAPPROPRIATE CONTENT: Sharing sexually explicit material, graphic violence, or promoting illegal activities; (d) SELF-HARM: Encouraging or glorifying self-harm or suicide; (e) COMMERCIAL USE: Using the sanctuary for spam, unauthorized advertising, or soliciting money; (f) IMPERSONATION: Pretending to be another person or entity; (g) TECHNICAL ABUSE: Attempting to scrape data, bypass AI moderation, circumvent rate limits or access controls, or disrupt our infrastructure (see also Sections 8–10 below). These community standards apply everywhere on the Service, including private direct messages. Sending unsolicited, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, or spam direct messages is prohibited. You can report any message or conversation and block any user at any time, and we may remove content or suspend accounts accordingly.

We reserve the sole right to determine what constitutes a violation of our community standards. We may suspend or permanently ban any account, at any time, without prior notice or refund, if we believe the user's conduct threatens the safety, peace, or integrity of the Sanctuary.

Prayla is provided on an 'as is' basis. We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated translations, AI Catholic Chat responses, or the quality of user-generated support. AI Chat responses are generated by artificial intelligence and may contain inaccuracies — they do not constitute official Church teaching or pastoral advice. We are not liable for any emotional distress, loss of data, or interactions that occur within or as a result of the service. Your use of the platform is at your own risk. We do not guarantee the delivery, storage, or retention of direct messages; messages are automatically deleted over time as described in our Privacy Policy.

Except for User Content (which you own and license to us under Section 3) and third-party content identified as such (for example, public-domain Scripture, and Bible translations licensed from their respective rights holders), all content made available through Prayla is owned by Prayla or its licensors. This includes, without limitation: the curated prayer library and its taxonomy; saint profiles and original biographical descriptions; original translations authored or commissioned by Prayla; the liturgical datasets as compiled; blog articles; software, source code, visual design, logos, and the Prayla name and branding. This content is protected by copyright, database rights (including the European Union sui generis database right), trademark, and other applicable laws. We have invested substantial time and resources in selecting, verifying, structuring, translating, and arranging this material; that investment is what we are protecting. Nothing in these Terms grants you any ownership of, or any license to, Prayla Content beyond the limited personal-use right described in Section 9.

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use Prayla Content for your own personal, non-commercial spiritual use within the Prayla service. No other license is granted by implication, estoppel, or otherwise. You may not, and may not permit any third party to, without our prior written permission: (a) copy, scrape, crawl, harvest, index, mirror, cache beyond ordinary browser caching, or otherwise extract Prayla Content (in whole or in any substantial part, whether quantitatively or qualitatively) by any automated or manual means; (b) use Prayla Content, or any extract of it, to train, fine-tune, evaluate, benchmark, ground, retrieve-augment, or otherwise develop or improve any machine learning model, large language model, embedding, generative AI system, or dataset intended for any of the foregoing; (c) reproduce, redistribute, publish, sublicense, sell, rent, lease, or make Prayla Content available as part of, or as a substantial input to, any product, dataset, API, service, app, or publication; (d) create a database, directory, compilation, or derivative work that incorporates Prayla Content or is substantially based on its selection, structure, or arrangement; (e) remove, obscure, or alter any copyright, trademark, attribution, or other proprietary notice; (f) circumvent, disable, or interfere with rate limits, authentication, robots.txt directives, Content-Signal headers, TDM (text-and-data-mining) reservations, or any other technical or contractual access controls; (g) use one or more user accounts, IP addresses, devices, or proxies to evade these restrictions. We reserve all rights not expressly granted. Where you reside in the European Union or United Kingdom, we expressly reserve our rights under Article 4 of Directive (EU) 2019/790 to opt out of any text-and-data-mining use of Prayla Content; the prohibitions above constitute a machine-readable and contractual reservation of those rights.

You acknowledge that breaches of Sections 8 and 9 cause harm that is difficult to quantify and that monetary damages alone may be inadequate. Accordingly, you agree that: (a) we are entitled to seek injunctive and other equitable relief without posting bond, in addition to any other remedies available at law or in equity; (b) we may suspend, throttle, or terminate your access immediately and without notice; (c) you will reimburse us for the reasonable costs of investigation and enforcement, including legal fees; (d) the obligations in Sections 3, 4, 8, 9, this Section 10, and Section 11 survive termination of your account or of these Terms. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Prayla, its affiliates, and their respective directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or related to your breach of these Terms, your misuse of Prayla Content, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of the Republic of Poland, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and, where applicable, by mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence. The competent courts of Poland shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction, except that we may bring proceedings to enforce Sections 8–10 in any jurisdiction where infringing conduct occurs or where an alleged infringer resides or has assets.
